It is just perfect. Honestly perfect. From the moment you pull up to the moment you drive away - just perfect. The decor, furnishing, rooms, staff, food, service, spa and facilities 10/10. We couldn't find fault. The staff are truly wonderful - nothing too much trouble and helpful with a smile on their face.we stayed in a heritage room with our daughter - it was just perfect for a one night away break. We will 100% return.

“Fabulous venue for family gatherings”

Sunday roast is delicious. Great portion size for the money… it all was cooked for perfection. Great venue for hosting a 60th luncheon with 20 of us- highly recommend booking if looking for a special place. Nothing was too much trouble with the staff and the whole day went super smoothly

We had an excellent stay with the kids at The Retreat Elcot Park. The whole family loved the pools, spa, and the beautiful local walks in the surrounding area. Our room was spacious, with incredibly comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. One evening, we had a delicious supper at the on-site sushi restaurant, which was a real treat. Breakfast was also impressive, with a good variety of options to suit everyone. Overall, the combination of fantastic facilities, friendly service, and stunning location made our stay truly enjoyable. We look forward to returning!

“Relaxing stay but watch out for the shower”

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Mixed feelings about this hotel, decor was lovely mostly but a few things slipped the mark. We stayed in a Culture room. The room was nice, it had everything you needed. Bed Sheets were lovely but the pillows definitely could have been better. Getting hold of reception was an issue, calls were never answered. My biggest issue was the shower in room 54 which I think is a massive health and safety issue which has been overlooked and ruined our experience. There was an over bath shower in the room which we are used to using at home but this one should be used with caution! The bath is narrow and the curved sides are extremely slippy. My husband had mentioned this to me after his shower so I had approached with caution. However, I still managed to fall backwards through the glass shower screen hitting my back so hard on toilet I was left crying in pain on the floor. It’s left a big mark, is very tender and no doubt will develop into a huge bruise in the coming days . After the incident I discovered there is a bath mat hidden behind the door under the robes but this should definately be in a more obvious place and perhaps even a small sign to advise this is used. Although raising this to house keeping staff and front desk I don’t think they appreciated the severity of the incident. We are not ones to raise a scene but I do think this could have been a very different outcome and fortunately I acted quickly to protect hitting my head. We were lucky enough to have great weather and so could make use of the pretty outdoor pool although the water was too cold for me and there clearly wasn’t enough sun loungers to cater for everyone. We ate in both The brasserie and the pan-Asian restaurant and I would say the food was probably the highlight of our stay.
