The room and hotel was better than expected, room was very clean, it was on its own away from hotel. The pub was very welcoming and the breakfast in a morning was superb, hot and cold food served and self service which I prefer. We was only staying one night and enjoyed it that much we rebooked for another night. Would highly recommend as I have been to a few hotels in Windermere and not been good but his is the best by far. We will sure be visiting again.

“One night stop on the way home”

We booked the room as it is dog friendly. We were not disappointed as our room was lovely and clean and very spacious. We booked the room as it is dog friendly. We were not disappointed as our room was lovely and clean and very spacious. The staff were great and very helpful, especially Rachel who helped us when we arrived. We had our evening meal in the bar area and it was fabulous. My husband had pheasant kiev which he said was delicious. Breakfast was included in our booking and again this was lovely. Plenty of choice and well cooked and presented. We cannot wait to book again.

It was very average compared to how it used to be. The room was small and very dark and who ever designed the layout needs a re think, TV on left hand wall make up mirror so close to the wall that you banged the TV each time you brushed your hair. The room was very tight. It was spotless and well decorated but it was just OK . Our room had a pokey window that looked onto the road and car park. We have stayed here before when it was The Regency and we noticed the difference! Crossing the road for amenities was no problem but the food was not good for the cost. Lack of signage to Reception etc was noted and we had to walk through a packed bar and restaurant with luggage looking for the Reception desk, it was almost in a corridor and if you were paying the bill with cash (as we were) it was very uncomfortable being surrounded by the whole bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good but Maybe re think where you locate the toast machine! right in a door way is not the best. On a security note - you have a passcode for the door into the Rooms but almost every time we went through the front door it was on the latch - as the Rooms had no personnel or staff in it you need to make sure the door is kept locked NOT put on the latch. All in all the stay was alright!
