very sociable and friendly staff, the room clean and comfortable, with a fridge and safe, excellent breakfasts, good value for money. Located on the waterfront. 5 minutes from the beach and promenade. 10 minutes from the bus and trains. WIFI only in the lobby.

For a short one night stay, I reckon the Caravella is a very good choice in terms of location and price. Very clean. Friendly staff. Rooms are very basic, wifi rather weak, no lift. For a short one night stay, I reckon the Caravella is a very good choice in terms of location and price. Very clean. Friendly staff. Rooms are very basic, wifi rather weak, no lift. Breakfast provides only sweets so actually less than a continental. There is an outside patio with ocean view, BYO. For a short business trip I would return, not for holiday.

“No nonsense hotel - Good value for your money.”

The hotel is located at the beachboulevard with a view to the see. Our room had a balcony with a view - room was more spacious than the standard for a three star hotel. There is some / a lot of traffic on the boulevard. We really appreciated, that balconydoors and windows efficiently shut out noise, when closed. The bathroom though was very small ... it worked, but I would have hated being higher than two meters and need to use the toilet sitting (Ryan Air has 2-4 cm's more room for the knees). Overall the hotel is clean and well maintained, so are the rooms. Staff is kind and helpfull. If you remember, that you're staying at a three star hotel, you'll be fine. If you think, you've book'ed The Ritz, you are bound to be disapointed. Good value for your money.
