I booked for a night but extended for another since it has everything I would like to have for my stay. The second night was sold out but they gave me the room by reception which they usually don’t give to customers. It’s slightly more noisy but not too bad. Location: close to the heart of San Telmo and very easy to access to bus stops Staff: warm, friendly and helpful Breakfast: not super fancy but enough selection Facility: very cute boutique hotel. The only drawback is the shower area is quite small in the smaller suite. I am very petite and it still have a bit problem to turn around while taking a shower.

I booked this hotel on booking.com for roughly $60 a night while i was flying back from Santiago. It's location is amazing, right in the heart of San Telmo with it's rustic cobblestone streets, numerous restaurants and active nightlife. The staff is fantastic and super helpful with recommendations on Tango venues, restaurants, nightlife and Buenos Aires. My room was a loft with 2 bathrooms and plenty of historic charm along with modern luxury. Rich linens, great air conditioning, super clean, great free Wi-Fi. This was an amazing find and I couldn't think of a better way to finish up my last few days in South America than staying here.

I stumbled across this place when my normal Bs.As. hotel was fully booked and I'm glad for having had the chance to stay here. The building is circa 1860 and has been tastefully remodeled into a proper boutique hotel. My room had 30' ceilings and was equipped with an upstairs loft and bathroom both above and below. I was drawn to the 1800's architecture, especially the ceiling. Because this is such an old building, it does have a musty odor. I personally thought it added to the charm but you should be aware before coming. There is an excellent rooftop deck, perfect for an after work drink. The hotel is very well located in San Telmo. It's in an excellent tourist location and close to Puerto Madero and other business areas. Restaurant choices are insane. I tried a new one every night for a week and only scratched the surface. Negatives: TOWELS dating from the 1860s. The towels are absolutely threadbare. Several others have mentioned this. It might be time to invest in some new towels.

Located in San Telmo - the heart of the action - the hotel is well situated for travellers. The photos probably make it look a little grander than the faded reality. However our main two issues were the lack of hot water on arrival - this took several hours to fix & was an issue that recurred several times during our short stay (not what one would want after a long haul flight), and the noise. This was partly due to the early morning starts by the staff, and the courtyard design which amplified the sounds of other guests and early morning birds! Breakfast was the usual continental offering. Overall, the hotel was ok given the price, but better value options exist.
