What a fantastic location/holiday we have experienced at Vassilias. Short transfer from this small but efficient airport then through Skiathos town to then arrive at this destination 😊 Vassilias Beach Hotel. The room we stayed in has an amazing view of the area and was comfortable,clean and central to the main route for each end of the island. Initially we would explore the facilities within the complex Recommend the beautiful family run restaurant Sorokos and friendly staff. Snacks and drinks are available at the adjacent tavern with superb seating area. Chatting with Vangellis the barman was lovely and his service was first class. Short walk onto the beach you will be embraced with the panoramic views Exploring the island is easy via bus taxi boat and taxi which are readily available. Word of Warning (The Hill) 😲 steep but as leaving the complex to main road take right turn not left. Gradient is much easier, this will take you to bus stop No 8. The ladies on reception and cleaners were lovely as was this beautiful amazing holiday Please please do not book as we will be booking again and availability is running out quickly 🤣 Take some of the boat trips / visit Panorama pizza and walk the dogs at Skiathos dog shelter. An amazing experience 👍

Stayed here for 2 weeks and was blown away by the view from our balcony simply breathtaking. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble , we stored our money and passports in a safe for free. The room was spotless and cleaned daily , as a couple we both had our own bathroom we had a kitchen , dining area and seating area and more than enough wardrobe space. The hill down to the pool , snack bar and restaurant is very steep and not ideal if you're not good on your feet , the pool itself though is lovely with plenty of sunbeds , we ate regularly from the snack bar and the prices were very reasonable the restaurant was also very good and well priced and it was amazing to eat by the sea , we had breakfast once which was a buffet style for 10 euros the only negative was the eggs sausages and bacon were cold, personally I think we would had breakfast more their if the hot food was cooked fresh. Skiathos is such a laid back island such a wonderful place to go and relax if you want it more busy then Skiathos town is the best place to go where there is loads of shops restaurants and bars and the old port for all your boat trips. With the island been so small we covered most of it there is pretty much 1 road that runs through the island and a bus every 20 mins for either 2 or 3 euros which was good value, by the end of the holiday you find knowing places by their bus stops 1 to 26 , in hindsight hiring a car would be a good option though. Also lots of water taxis available throughout the day and every reasonably priced. Overall a wonderful little island and you can see why so many go back !!.

My husband and I recently spent the week at the Vasilias Beach Hotel. We have never been to Skiathos before but after this stay we will definitely go back. Funnily enough, we have changed our September holiday to stay at the Vasilias again. That is how good it was. The self-catering apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for the week. The view from our balcony was amazing, we couldn't have asked for better. The owner was very friendly and helpful as we had a few questions as we didn't know the area. Lets not forget to mention the hotel's dog, Valentino. A cuddly, fluffy, gentle giant who loved getting fusses. We didn't use the pool as it we didn't think it was warm enough yet. However, the pool area and pool were immaculate so I definitely plan to make use of it in September. The slope down to the beach is quite steep and we found taking the steps considerably easier on the way back up. We went for daily walks there as it was so peaceful. It was also good to see how clean and tidy the beach was compared to other places we have been in the past. Couple of things to help when staying there. 1. The hotel is between two bus stops (numbered 8 and 9). However quite often the buses go past as already full, but taxi drivers quite often stop and offer a reduced rate to take you into Skiathos Town. (We ended up just flagging down taxis from the bus stop most times as so much quicker than waiting for the bus). 2. Nearest supermarket was 1km away and if you spend over 25 euros they will deliver. So much easier than carrying shopping and big bottles of water back up the hill!

Nos lo pasamos tan bien, caminar por las montañas, préstamo de un coche para ver aún más de la isla, con muchas playas. La ciudad de Skiathos también es un lugar interesante para descubrir. En Vassilias encontrará armonía! La anfitriona es una persona agradable! Estábamos contentos de reunirse con ella y otras personas griegas, que hizo que nuestra buenas vacaciones así fantastisc!
