We arrived at the beginning of October to find we had been given the same room as we had in June as we had requested. It was so nice to be remembered by staff and even our room cleaner. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay. Our room was cleaned every day and the floors mopped, bedding changed regularly and fresh towels as required. We had no problems with the food. More than enough choice at breakfast and fresh omelettes made to order. We had lunch at the restaurant most days but a toasty a couple of times and a chocolate crepe. We didn't find dinner a problem. Most nights we went between 8 and 8.15 and there were lots of empty tables. Never had a problem with cold food. There was usually something at the carvery station. We had roast beef, chicken, turkey and pork. Plenty of potato and veg options. Often souvlaki swordfish and salmon fillets. Plus soup and salad options. Desserts were a bit samey but there was plenty of fresh fruit and ice cream. We spent most nights at the Meraki bar where the bar staff were amazing. Our drinks arrived when we sat down without us ordering lol. This is a good 4* All inclusive hotel. I think some visitors are expecting 5* plus per some reviews I've seen. We like it so much we're already booked for the end of May 2025

My partner and I have just returned from a 10 night stay at Utopia Blu. Overall, it was a lovely stay with above average temperatures for Sept/Oct. Some of the positives of this hotel is the grounds and the overall design of the hotel is beautiful, you can’t fault the cleanliness and there’s someone washing pavements each day. The location is perfect, short journey to the airport and a lovely walk to the beach passing nice bars and shops. With a supermarket across the road with everything you might need (much cheaper than the resort shop). We were disappointed when we first arrived to see our swim-up room completely in the shade. We asked to move but it was fully booked. Basically had to make the most of it between 7am and 2pm - otherwise chase the sun down the pool. The pools could do with a clean at the bottom (never saw anyone do this) and the pools themselves were ice cold! We found other pools to be warmer later in the day. The food is okay, nothing that bad but I’ve had better from other all-inclusive resorts. It was very hit and miss and the themed nights repeated quite a lot. The cocktails need serious improvement! Each one is flat and doesn’t taste of much. Drinks at breakfast also need to improve, please invest in a decent coffee machine and the orange juice is watered down cordial. Anything decent (cocktails, coffee) on this resort you do have to pay extra for i.e. the coffee bar is lovely but quite pricey after a few days. I don’t understand how other reviews have said the entertainment is good, it’s okay at best, but that also repeats after just a week. The Legends show probably the better night, the Michael Jackson Tribute was okay, but he missed the most iconic songs! In terms of wheelchair access, it’s one of the better resorts I’ve been to - where you’re not constantly climbing huge hills or looking for steps in the dark. Everything is flat and each facility on the resort is accessible – even the Italian restaurant has a small lift. As for in-room access, the bathroom could do with some improvement, as we had to ask for a chair for the shower, this should be a permanent fixture to the wall and the toilet is in an awkward spot for transferring. So 4 star overall, someone else said style over substance and that’s accurate. We did enjoy our holiday all things considered as it’s a lovely relaxing quiet place, but needs to improvement to drinks and entertainment.

I will start by saying this hotel looks the part if you want nice pictures that's pretty much all it is good for! The main areas of the hotel are spotless but unfortunately that's the 2 main good points. Lunch was always good and the Mediterranean restaurant. We booked a 2 week all inclusive and we ended up spending a fortune on drink and food away from the hotel it was awful! It cost us an additional £2,000 in food and drink and we are not even that fussy. The supermarket opposite was full of Utopia guests buying their own alcoholic to take back to the hotel and at breakfast they were buying pastries and sandwiches. The drinks in the hotel were watered down and the staff acted like it was coming out of their wages every time you asked for a drink. They were miserable and you couldn't even get a smile out of half of them. The restaurant waiting staff were all amazing so attentive and really made you feel welcome. They couldn't do enough for you. The manager and customer relations, don't get me started they are horrendous no people or customer management skills. The food: Breakfast was not 4* plus quality, there was very little choice. The omelette station is placed behind the scrambled eggs so if you are waiting for an omelette people are pushing through to get eggs. It was very awkward. Everting is a little under cooked the sausage and bacon never looked cooked. We ended up getting breakfast out or getting pastries from the supermarket. Lunch: I thought was really good, there was plenty of choice if you like salad, veg options were great and lots of fresh pizza. Dinner was atrocious and certainly not what you expect from a 4* plus. I was more like what l imagine a 2/3* would be. We actually only ate in the main restaurant 3 times for dinner despite the themed nights everything was the same each night and lukewarm at best. I have never stayed in a Greek hotel where they don't serve lamb and when I asked the hostess do they ever have lamb and she shrugged! Other guests had also commented that they had never seen any lamb and complained the food was well below standard. A la carte. Elia is just amazing the food was so good and the service was impeccable. Amr made the experience so special. We are twice in the Mediterranean. Il Brunello a la Carte was okay the salad a pizza was really good but the mains were disappointing everything was so creamy it made me feel a bit sick. We decided not to eat here again and cancelled our second booking. The room. You will see above I commented how clean the main areas are this does not apply to the rooms. I am not sure the floor was cleaned once during our 2 week stay. I actually took a picture of my feet after I had been in the shower and walked from the room to the balcony, they are filthy. I note someone has recently commented that they had an issue with the room and the sun. We also had a similar issue and our neighbours advised they had received free upgrades to rooms in prime locations in the hotel. They advised 'The fact that someone else was upgraded or not, is an internal procedure that is more complicated than it seems.' That was the explanation. There is no privacy in the swim up rooms people are walking backwards and forwards to the bar across your balcony. The beach was not as pictured on the website or Instagram. It’s actually quite laughable! I was so excited to stay in this hotel, it looked beautiful, the reviews were great but unfortunately it was a total let down. The food and drink were well below standard and the management do not want to hear your concerns. Tui needs to also take some responsibility for continuing to advertise the hotel as a 4*plus. I promise my review is genuine and I always give credit where it is due. If you look at my other reviews that is clear. If you do decide to stay here. Please see my reviews of the other restaurants you should consider when you eat out. We met lots of people out in the village who said they go to Tigaki every year. They all advised they had stayed in Utopia but would not return. They stay in one if the many boutique hotels in the village, they said the same stylish but no substance which is a shame!
